CPO-10

October 17 — 21, 2018, Key West, Florida, USA

Travel

There are several ways to get to Key West:

By Air

Key West has its own international airport (EYW), located just a few miles from the conference hotel. Various connecting flights exist from all major south Florida airports and Atlanta.

As an alternative, we suggest to fly into one of the big airports in South Florida such as Miami (MIA), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), or Palm Beach (PBI), and then proceed by car as described below.

We will try to coordinate some transportation the day before the conference from Miami and possibly other airports via car sharing. If you need a ride, or are getting a rental car and are willing to pick up other participants, please let us know until 10 days before the conference.

By Car

Getting to Key West by car is easy and very enjoyable. Starting anywhere south of Miami, join Route 1, the famous Overseas Highway, which is the one and only major road in the Keys. It is a very scenic 3 1/2 hour drive to Key West, including spectacular "island hopping" across many of the key islands and over numerous bridges, one of which is shown in the banner of this website. For personalized driving instructions, check out Google Maps. There is plenty of street parking available near the hotel, as well as covered valet parking.

By Shuttle

There are several shuttle services from Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports to Key West. Examples include Keys Shuttle.com and Greyhound. See their websites for details and pricing.

By Boat

The Key West Express is a ferry from Fort Myers and Marco Island, which have their own major airport, directly to Key West. See their website for details and pricing.

Visas

For CPO-10 participants traveling from outside the U.S.:

It is recommended that those participants without multiple-entry U.S. visas determine their eligibility for the visa waiver program or their eligibility to obtain a visitor visa and submit their application as soon as possible.

Information regarding eligibility for the visa waiver program and the ESTA application link can be found on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website. Information regarding current restrictions on the issuance of nonimmigrant visas can be found under the Department of State website: June 26 Supreme Court Decision on Presidential Proclamation 9645. If you need to obtain a visa, you can find relevant information about the application process on the Department of State U.S. Visas website.
