The Program HAMILTON for the Analytic Solution of the Equations of Motion in Particle Optical Systems through Fifth Order
Abstract
HAMILTON is a computer code performing all algebraic operations
necessary for an analytic determination of the solution of the
Hamiltonian equations of motion in electromagnetic fields with one
plane of symmetry. It is written entirely in FORTRAN in order to
achieve fast machine performance, a requirement which is
essential due to the complexity of the equtions of motion in
higher orders. As a consequence, HAMILTON is considerably faster
than common formula manipulators. Furthermore, HAMILTON is
constructed such that the storage is minimized.
