"Analysis of the Blunting Anti-Wrapping Strategy" Ned Nedialkov McMaster University Canada Berz and makino proposed the so-called blunting method for reducing the wrapping-effect in their Taylor models. The blunting method can be viewed as the combination of the well-known parallelepiped and QR-factorization methods for reducing the wrapping effect. We analyze their blunting method and show that, over sufficiently long integration intervals, it behaves like the QR-factorization method. Joint work with Ken Jackson, University of Toronto.
