The Accelerator Propagator Framework of the UAL environment.

Abstract

The Accelerator Propagator Framework (APF) is presented. It has implemented the Unified Accelerator Libraries (UAL)

Element-Algorithm-Probe analysis pattern which offers a uniform mechanism for development and assembly of diverse

accelerator simulation approaches. The APF framework forms

a collection of collaborative Algorithm classes sharing common accelerator Element objects and exchanging data via

Probes (which are propagating data objects such as bunches,

Twiss parameters, Taylor maps, etc.). The paper will conclude with the first APF application, Fast TEAPOT, an efficient tracking engine based on the combination of sector linear matrices and TEAPOT symplectic integrators.
